Things I can't figure out

There are so many things that I can't figure??? So I guess they'll just go unfigured. I tried so hard to raise our children to be responsible good human beings, Jim and I disciplined and worried and watched over, trying to make sure they were in the right places ...doing school work, etc taking them to church was a big part of their upbringing. I feel very proud of all my children, they are all very smart talented, enlighted human beings...but I think the church thing took a wrong turn when my kids invented the game "the movie of life" This is where they would try and cast a speaker in church or in the neighborhood as a movie star that best fit their looks and personality. Jim and I would sit very properly listening to the speaker while the children were casting different folks as Meryl Streep or Tom Hanks. Jim has been cast as a smaller Tom Selleck and I always wanted to be Sally Field (even though I really never got involved in their silly game). I am sure they heard every word spoken from the pulpit and learned much from all the talks. I hope I play the part of Sally Field as well as Sally was in the movie Forrest Gump, because she gave such great advice Like that one when she said "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get"! and was so calm and kind. I think what I figured out as I wrote this is that my kids like to go to movies more than church!

me and my sisters always played fast sunday bingo. . . I wish I could play it now (while I listen very intently to every word that is spoken, of course) but I'm still learning names and who would even be a testimony bearing regular in our ward. but if we did play now you'd for sure get extra bonus points if you got the old guy who plays his harmonica in his testimony.

okay, so I guess it's more like tic-tac-toe. . . but you're really going for black-out. . . so it's bingo.

how to play:

make a little ti-tac-toe grid on the back of your sacrament meeting program. fill in the squares with people's names (you can give yourself the middle square as a free space, if you want). cross out the name of the person that stands up to bear their testimony.

how to score:

I don't remember how we scored it exactly, but you get a certain amount of points for a whole row, and for black-out, and then we started giving bonus points if people cried or gave thanktimonies, travel logs, etc. we would always decorate our 'playing board' and it was all very fun and exciting.

Do you get extra points if someone takes their newly blessed baby up to the stand, and makes their mouth move while they talk in a baby voice, and say they're thankful to be born??????

oh, this is too funny...i love the tic tac toe game and we will have to play it...how boring are we, i just listen and my kids still draw and eat goodies from my bag....did i say that kerry is 17 and russ 21? plus, marty has the exciting baby talker...and anna the harmonica player...we used to have really good testimonies..the girl that confessed EVERYTHING, and i mean everything, every month...or the lady that came out of the closet, it was after bro.mullin talked about his cancer...she had cancer too...but, then another time she wore an ugly yellow dress because Heavenly Father wanted her to be humble...but, now there is no one fun....oh well...onto bingo1
