We were having a a Single's Branch Activity at a cabin up Soapstone, but when we got up at 6:00 AM so Earl and I could hike in (1 mile), we decided the fresh powder was just a little too deep to walk in. The snowmobiles were not arriving until 10:00 after we had the cabin open and heated up with food waiting for the guests... As it turned out, we canceled the activity and I just went to work at my Dad's house again because there was too much snow! Earl watches the snow pack every day though,concerned about the water supply for summer, so he is happy.
